Airbnb is supporting the Tech Nordic Advocates’ Annual Summit in Helsinki on November 28. The event aims to facilitate discussions about the Nordic tech and startup ecosystem and how the region can become an innovation hub.
“This year’s theme is “Growing the Nordics and Baltics into a Global Tech/Startup Hub”. Our partnership with Airbnb, itself a prime example of a startup gone global, is of huge importance generally and in helping to get that message across and inspiring Nordic/Baltic startups on their journey.”
Jeanette Carlsson, Founder & Chair Tech Nordic Advocates (TNA)
Public Policy Manager for the Netherlands & Nordics, Bo de Koning, will be a keynote speaker at the event and address that issue as she will talk about how the Nordics can become a leader in innovation. Julian Persaud, Global Head of Operations for Airbnb Experiences, will be chairing the roundtable session ‘Growth and scaling: learning from Airbnb’, which focuses on technology startup and growth opportunities across the region and the learnings that Airbnb can share with new businesses.
“We are excited to be part of the Tech Nordic Advocates’ Annual Summit and join the conversation about the development of the tech and startup scene in the Nordics. The region is known for its innovative character, and it is why we’re keen to hear from local players in the field during the event and elaborate on how the Nordics can become an innovation leader in the industry.”
