On August 4th, Airbnb hosts from around Los Angeles came together to attend the Summer Host Celebration and Los Angeles Home Sharing Club Launch. The event took place at the scenic Grace E. Simons Lodge in Elysian Park, where over 300 hosts, families and their guests attended.
Hosts discussed their collective passion and commitment to supporting common-sense legislation to protect home sharing in LA.
In combating current proposed legislation for restrictive rental date caps, the launch party was crucial to unite hosts from the greater Los Angeles region into a single voice to protect home-sharing for all. The forum also provided a steady exchange of practical tips and advice to market my listing.

The City Council in Los Angeles is creating new rules and regulations for short-term rentals, which makes the meetup and Club launch all the more important for the home sharing community to share ideas that will help shape fair, sensible laws.
The Los Angeles Home Sharing Club launched with four regional chapters: the Westside, the Northeast, the Valley, and Central LA. The Clubs are designed to be a place where hosts and guests can interact, organize and participate in local, grassroots community efforts to champion home sharing while supporting reasonable short-term rental laws that enable middle class families to earn extra income to stay in their homes.
