A group of Gold Coast Airbnb hosts helped celebrate Clean Up Australia Day by participating in a beach cleanup at Currumbin Beach, joining hundreds of of other groups across the country in the annual environmental event.
Clean Up Australia Day is a non-profit Australian environmental conservation organisation founded by Australian Ian Kiernan, and co-founder Kim McKay with the mission to foster relationships between the community, business and government to address the environmental issues of waste, water and climate change.

After the clean up, hosts came together for a delicious meal at the Elephant Rock Cafe. The participants were proud to have participated in the worthwhile event and take a part in helping preserve Gold Coast’s world famous beaches.
Hosts are encouraged to participate in community service initiatives, events and to regularly host group activities such as these to help give back to the community and support the environment.
