Lisbon hosts welcomed more than 700,000 visitors last year, a new record for the city. But despite its success, there are still undiscovered gems for travellers. That’s why hosts from the neighbourhoods of Arroios and Penha de França met in March to walk around their neighbourhoods and showcase the best small businesses in the area.
The walk started in a lovely gourmet shop that has been serving coffee for decades. “Sintoniza o Momento” has an assortment of Portuguese delicatessen – liquors, cakes, sweets, sardines – as well as delicious chocolates and coffee, ground and packaged on the spot. Hosts were delighted to find out about some traditional ways of blending coffee, and they all bought some delicacies to take home.
