Home and Experience hosts come together for a festive evening

Last week, eighty Home and Experience hosts came together and joined Airbnb staff in the London office to celebrate the holidays.

Siobhan Feasey and Alice Vaughan, team leads for both communities said, “It was lovely to bring together for the first time both our Experience and Home hosts to celebrate the start of the holiday season and share their different experiences of being part of the Airbnb community.”

Lyn a Home host in Waltham Forest echoed a similar sentiment, saying, “it was a great night and great opportunity to meet some Experience hosts. Some of our guests have booked a few Experiences so it was great to meet some of the hosts behind them to learn more about what they do. I’ll definitely be recommending them to future guests.”

Experience hosts in Dalston Ben and Daz who are presently hosting a festive wreath decorating Experience, said, “we wanted to meet other Experience hosts to share stories and to learn from each other’s experiences. We were able to mingle with Home hosts and talk about our experience and what we can offer their guests.”

The event also offered an opportunity for Experience hosts to connect over shared passions as Ben notes, “we met so many like-minded people that share our interests. What really stood out was meeting an Experience host that does urban gardening which closely relates to what we do. We are actually booking each other’s events, which we are really looking forward to.”

Experience hosts Theo and Jannine of the Brixton Hidden Jazz Club provided the soundtrack to the evening, revelling the crowd with jazz and holiday tunes.

The evening also featured the first-ever Host Bake-Off.
