As part of our commitment to working with the City of San Francisco to craft responsible home sharing rules, we’re releasing updated information about our One Host, One Home policy in the San Francisco Airbnb community. This covers the time period between June 1, 2016, and June 1, 2017. Some key facts include:
- 1,383 listings have been removed from Airbnb since the One Host, One Home policy went into effect.
- Most hosts share their space occasionally—the median nights booked per listing over the past year is 61.
- The city-wide median annual earnings for a host is $11,600, making home sharing an economic life preserver for many families who struggle to live in an increasingly expensive city.
