CELEBRATING HOME SHARING CLUBS IN OVER 60 COMMUNITIES
Airbnb supported the creation of Home Sharing Clubs so that hosts could come together to serve their local community and advocate for fair home sharing laws. Today, over 60 host-led clubs have been created and we are on track to hit 100 clubs worldwide by the end of 2016. HONORING THE VOTING RIGHTS ACT

AIRBNB TAX COLLECTION PROGRAM EXPANDS, HAS ALREADY COLLECTED $110 MILLION FOR GOVERNMENTS
In 2014, Airbnb began collecting and remitting hotel and other tourist taxes in San Francisco and Portland. Today, this program is in place in over 200 jurisdictions around the world and growing. We now collect and remit taxes in two of the three largest cities in the United States. Read More.
MAKING PROGRESS ON THE EASTERN SEABOARD
We’ve finalized tax agreements with a number of cities and states up and down the Eastern Seaboard, including: Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Jersey City, Rhode Island, South Carolina, and Florida. Read More.
BIG VICTORY FOR HOME SHARING IN CHICAGO
We won a big victory in Chicago: the City Council passed an ordinance that will strengthen home sharing in the City of Big Shoulders. We are particularly excited that, under the leadership of the mayor and aldermen, the tax revenue generated from our community will help fund the City’s homelessness program. Read More.
GREAT PROGRESS IN THE GRAND CANYON STATE
Alongside members of the Airbnb community, Governor Doug Ducey signed SB 1350 into law, groundbreaking legislation that allows home sharing to be a powerful economic tool for families across Arizona. Read More.
CLEVELAND IS TAKING BIG STEPS WITH HOME SHARING
After working closely with the local home sharing community, the Cleveland City Council voted yes on common sense regulations, as well collecting and remitting our city and county tourist taxes. This vote came just in time for the RNC, which saw 1,900 guests rent from local hosts in Cleveland. Read More.
