Why did you choose to share your home?
For me, being an Airbnb host has been a real godsend on the financial front. I needed to earn a bit of extra cash but that is not the only reason I became a host. In fact, being a host has enabled me to largely finance my passion. I am a producer and DJ and my income is not always regular. As a host, I am assured of a bit of financial stability.
Why do you love sharing your home?
What I like about Airbnb is that you are able to welcome and meet people from different cultures and backgrounds. To be a host, I think you need to have values that I particularly cherish, such as opening up to the world, curiosity and the desire to share — especially the delights of our beautiful city.
What local gem do you recommend to your guests?
For those who like to dine in good restaurants, I recommend a visit to Le Faubourg Saint-Antoine restaurant, as it serves excellent cuisine, typical of Brussels. In terms of a cultural visit, I always recommend Train World, the museum of the National Railway Company of Belgium, which is located in Schaerbeek, in the Brussels-Capital region. Of course, you must take a little tour of the Musée Schaerbeekois of the beer. and La Maison Autrique, a magnificent house inspired by art nouveau.
