Off the Beaten Track

In France, more than 80% of homes are located outside Paris. Many are located in towns and villages that generally do not benefit from tourism and where the traditional hotel offer is more limited. At Airbnb, we want to promote these unique territories that offer an authentic and local experience of the country.

Take a look at our hosts in the countryside:

“For me, being a guest in the countryside means giving people a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of all those farmers who feed the French”

YOU TOO, SUPPORT AGRI-TOURISM IN FRANCE

At the end of 2017, Airbnb joined forces with Bienvenue à la ferme, France’s leading direct sales and farm reception network, to organise a competition. The goal? Support farmers in their agri-tourism projects: housing, local products, discovery of farming professions…

OUR COMMUNITY TOURISM
PROGRAM

We know that some of the best travel experiences in Europe are away from tourist attractions; they are lived in the communities to which the people belong. We want to preserve and promote what makes each community unique for all.
